DETAILED ITINERARY

Day 1: Hanoi Arrival – Half Day City Tour – Private Tour

Welcome to Hanoi! Your guide will meet you at the airport and take you to your hotel. After you’ve settled in (rooms available from 2 PM), your Hanoi exploration begins.

You’ll begin our journey at the Ho Chi Minh Complex with a view of the grand Mausoleum from the outside, followed by a stroll past the modest stilt house where Uncle Ho lived and worked for more than a decade. Not far away, the graceful One Pillar Pagoda rises from a lotus pond, a delicate structure dedicated to the Goddess of Mercy and admired for its unique design.

Next, your trip continues with the Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first university, founded in 1070 and filled with ancient courtyards and echoes of Confucian learning. As the afternoon unfolds, let’s enjoy a quiet walk around Hoan Kiem Lake. The calm water, the timeless Turtle Tower, and the poetic charm of Ngoc Son Temple also bring a peaceful pause in the heart of the city.

Your day ends with relaxation in the Hanoi hotel.

 

Day 2: Hanoi – Halong Bay (B, L, D) – Overnight Cruise

A scenic journey from Hanoi commences your Halong Bay adventure. Upon boarding the luxurious cruise, a welcome drink and a delectable lunch await. The vessel glides through iconic limestone karsts, offering breathtaking views.

The afternoon presents opportunities to explore the bay. Guests can choose kayaking or a bamboo boat ride through serene waterways. As the sun sets, relax on the sundeck and join a cooking class. A sumptuous seafood dinner follows, and the evening offers activities like squid fishing or stargazing.

 

Day 3: Halong Bay – Hanoi (B, Br) – Fly to Ho Chi Minh City

Start your day with the sun rising at a peaceful Tai Chi lesson on the sundeck, followed by a light breakfast while enjoying the spectacular scenery of Halong Bay. Sail to a secluded lagoon or floating village en route before heading back to the ship for a back-to-harbor brunch buffet.

On arrival, our driver will return you to Hanoi and you will have free time to relax before checking into your hotel for the flight to Ho Chi Minh.

Day 4: Ho Chi Minh Half Day City Tour – Cu Chi Tunnels (B, L) – Joint in Tour

Start your day by visiting the legendary Independence Palace, also called the Reunification Palace. This is an important historical emblem of Vietnam and was the design of the noted architect Ngo Viet Thu. Proceed with exploring the French colonial buildings of the city by visiting the beautiful Notre Dame Cathedral and the grand Central Post Office. A trip to the War Remnants Museum will give you a better understanding of Vietnam’s history, with lots of exhibits from the Indochina wars.

You’ll have a tasty lunch at a local restaurant before continuing to the Cu Chi Tunnels, a drive of one and a half hours.

Upon arrival, you’ll watch a video explaining how this complex network of tunnels was built and how people lived here during the war. Then head into the tunnels to see living areas, command centers, rooms for weapon storage, and hidden traps that were all part of Vietnam’s fight against its enemies.

Complete your tour by sampling some specialty tea and cassava, the wartime staple food for guerrilla fighters. Relax, shop, and eat in Ho Chi Minh City during the afternoon, or, for the slightly adventurous, attempt some real shooting practice (optional, at your own cost). In the late afternoon, you’ll return to Ho Chi Minh City.. Overnight stay at the hotel.

 

Day 5: Day Trip to Mekong Delta (B, L) – Joint in Tour

Your Mekong Delta adventure begins as you leave the bustling city of Ho Chi Minh and journey to My Tho, a wonderful town along the Mekong River. First, you’ll visit the historic Vinh Trang pagoda, a beautiful 19th-century site. Then, together, you’ll embark on a delightful sampan cruise, exploring the enchanting islands of Dragon, Unicorn, Phoenix, and Tortoise.

At Unicorn Island, you can stroll along country lanes, explore lush orchards, and savor tropical fruits while enjoying local folk music. A visit to a fruit plantation follows. The next experience is exploring the tranquility of the countryside with a hand-rowed sampan ride through Thoi Son canal, visiting family-run businesses, a honey-bee farm, and a coconut candy workshop. Enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant.

In the afternoon, you can either cycle through Tan Thach village to experience local life or relax in a hammock and enjoy the Delta breeze.

 

Day 6: Ho Chi Minh City – Fly to Phu Quoc Island – Grand World Phu Quoc (B) – Private Tour

Let’s enjoy your free time until your hotel transfers you to the airport for your flight to Phu Quoc. Upon arrival, our car will take you to your Phu Quoc hotel for check-in. Your room will be ready at 03:00 PM. Then you are free to explore Grand World Phu Quoc, a vibrant entertainment hub at Ganh Dau Cape.

Your afternoon starts with a visit to Urban Park and the beautiful Legend of Bamboo Building. Then, you can enjoy some fun at the Teddy Bear Museum. As you walk around, you’ll come across European-inspired streets, Venice-like canals, and plenty of spots perfect for photos.

You can take a break and enjoy a local meal (at your own cost). As the evening sets in, make sure you don’t miss the stunning Venice Color show. Later, you’ll have time to explore the Grand World night market, taste some delicious street food, and enjoy the lively atmosphere before heading back to your hotel around 10:00 PM. Please note that some attractions and shows have extra entry fees.

 

Day 7: Phu Quoc – Free Day (B)

Today is yours to explore Phu Quoc at your own pace! With so much to see, here are a few top picks:
